Tea by Post is an environmental art project based around seed-sharing and collaboration with the natural world. It invites us to slow down, observe and rest, as a way to nurture ourselves and our gardens.

It was initiated by artist Brenda Kearney in early 2021 as a way to forge and strengthen community during challenging times. Beginning with a public call for seed sharing, participants received updates by post in return - including drawings and publications, and a special edition of herbal tea blends at the project's harvest time. This tea served as a portrait of all seeds generously shared.
This initial run of the project was designed as an open research year, which developed in response to interest and participation. Like the slow growth of a new garden, Tea by Post is a meandering and snails-pace project, please check back for updates here.
Brenda is a Leitrim-based multidisciplinary artist exploring domestic practices, ideas of community and collaborative care.
